Audiology Doctor – Alice Wilson
Dr. Wilson is Board Certified by the American Board of Audiology, (ABA), a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, (F-AAA), is licensed in audiology and hearing aids in Virginia and the District of Columbia, and holds a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology, (CCC-A), from the American Speech Hearing and Language Association, (ASHA), and was awarded the Audiology Scholarship Award by the American Academy of Audiology.
Alice C. Wilson, Au.D., ABA, CCC-A, AAA-F
Dr. Wilson is a Board Certified Audiologist with 27 years experience practicing audiology. Originally from Dallas, Texas, she was drawn to the field of Audiology due to her combined interest in science and human communication. She received her Masters of Science, M.S., in Audiology from the Callier Center for Communication Disorders, University of Texas at Dallas in 1987 where she was awarded the Scott Haug scholarship. After graduating from U.T.D., Callier Center she earned her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology, (CCC-A) from the American Speech, Hearing and Language Association, (ASHA). Dr. Wilson then practiced audiology at prominent Ear Nose and Throat medical offices, and hearing aid private practices in Dallas, Texas. Recognizing a talent for aiding the hearing impaired, she established her own private audiology practice in 2002 which she owned and operated until 2008. In 2005 she earned her Au.D., Doctorate in Audiology, from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona. She was awarded the Scholarship Award from the American Academy of Audiology, and obtained Board Certification in Audiology through the American Academy of Audiology in 2005.
Dr. Wilson is married to her husband of 30 years, James Scott Wilson, Energy Coordinator at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. The couple has one grown daughter, who is currently a senior consultant industrial engineer with Booze, Allen and Hamilton. Dr. Wilson enjoys her pets; two cats and a chocolate Labrador, Buddy. Her interests include reading, gardening, bird watching, cooking, baking, entertaining and camping.
